We don’t need the hierarchy. Gloriatee‘s Santa Yoda an Elf I am not Christmas shirt, absolutely. The original post generalized young people and I made the mistake of doing the same. I think the takeaway from this entire post is that we’re all individuals that should pick the career and life choices best suited to us. My experience when graduating from high school 12 years ago was that students at my school were led to believe that going to college was the right choice. I’m hoping that moving forward today’s graduates are encouraged to enter fields that are THEIR right choice, rather than being encouraged to go down paths that don’t suit them.
My mom give me this Santa Yoda an Elf I am not Christmas shirt, ladies shirt, hoodie, sweater
I have a friend who is a house cleaner. Never went to college. She is 10 years younger than I am and makes more, by a lot, than I do with my two STEM degrees. She has a super flexible schedule, too. Good jobs aren’t just for the college bound and the trades. A lot of college, educated jobs also come with a lot of layoffs ,my sister is an engineer, she refers to it as high, skilled temp work because of the risk of layoffs.
But you are right about the physical demands and environmental risks of the trades in many situations. Political science, international relations, research methods ,statistics.,, and the like.I love it, but some of my students do, and some of my students would rather not be here, but they don’t know what else they could be doing. I also say, hey, welding. I had a student this semester start skipping class a couple of weeks into the semester, and when I ran into him, he said he’d kind of come to school to make his dad proud; he really wanted to be a plumber, but.
Just take a Santa Yoda an Elf I am not Christmas shirt, unisex shirt, longsleeve
And I told him to be a plumber if he wants. He’ll get Gloriatee movie t-shirts‘s Santa Yoda an Elf I am not Christmas shirt fine, and he’ll be happier. I think of this as a job, and it’s a good one. But there are other good jobs out there, and people shouldn’t dismiss anyone of them as good choices. My dad was the director of a Vo,Tech when I was growing up. It was great, high school students spent three hours a day in their junior and senior years learning a trade. The construction class built two houses every year. Students walked out of high school ready to go to work with experience already.
My father has a plumbing and heating company and it’s so hard to find a knowledgeable and skilled service tech. I wish more people were encouraged to take that path. However, Even tradesman need training and a tech school could be a great option.Trades are ever changing but it’s always great to know the basics of any path you choose for safety and otherwise. Yeah, these are skilled trades,,you need to learn them and keep up with all the changes as time goes on. I can imagine your father’s frustration.
